And now... My song for the bloghop! 

I was at a great festival here in the Netherlands this summer, with Lionel Richie as last perform. I never thought we would have so much fun, it was really Amazing!

Since there is one song by Lionel Richie in the list, I have chosen "Dancing on the ceiling" for the bloghop. And ofcourse I made a Lay Out of that really nice day...

I used some printables of Avec les Mains for this Layout. They have so many nice printables, I had trouble to choose! For this Lay Out I used a paper with blocs and one with music notes. But I had downloaded also nice 'wood' paper. I decided to make a card with that, it's really nice as basic. I used the line "We're gonna have a party" to get inspired for a invitation card of my son's 7th birthday next month:

And the nicest thing of printables: I can make all the other invintations just like this one! :)

Lente! Eindelijk! Ondanks het druilerige weer hier had ik echt zin om een vrolijke LO te maken. Het moodboard van Scrap around the world was hiervoor de inspiratie:

Spring! At last! It is still a little bad weather right here, but I was totally in the mood for a very bright LO. I used the moodboard of Scrap around the world for some inspiration:

Ik hou van blauw en geel, dus ben even los gegaan met deze kleuren! Gecombineerd met hout en touw is het dit geworden:

I love blue and yellow together, so I went to rock and roll with it! I combined it with some twine and wood for the natural look of the moodboard:

Een stansje en een stempel maken het af. Met deze LO wil ik ook graag meedoen met de scrapuitdaging 21 van Cards and Scrap: textuur. Met modeling paste, gesso en Inka Gold heb ik op de ondergrond verschillende texturen gemaakt. Maar ook door de doily's en embellishments heeft mijn LO verschillende texturen gekregen.

A die and a stamp to finish this LO. I also want to entry the challenge of Card and Scrap: texture. I used different techniques to make some textures on my LO.

I also want to enjoy the challenge of Mixed Media Place, typography. I made this LO inspired on the quote I used..

Tot zover eerst maar weer, ik zou het leuk vinden als je laat weten wat je er van vindt!

Thank God it's Christmas SIWAS

Hallo allemaal!

Ik zie ineens dat ik mijn Lay Out voor Scrap it with a Song  hier nog niet eens geplaatst heb! En het was nog wel mijn beurt om een uitdaging te bedenken...

Mijn bijdrage voor de uitdaging was voor 'Thank God it's Christmas' van Queen. Queen is echt één van mijn meest favoriete bands ever, en dit vind ik dan ook een heel mooi Kerstliedje. Ik heb de songtekst in de journalling verwerkt:

Omstandigheden hebben gemaakt dat de Lay Out ook voor dit jaar wel weer van toepassing was, en zeker recent hebben we behoorlijk wat verdriet te verwerken gehad. Maar gelukkig, het is bijna Kerst! 

Ik hoop dat ik snel de scrapzin weer helemaal te pakken krijg, en dat ik snel weer meer heb om te laten zien!

Airole

Hallo allemaal,

Toen ik het moodboard van Scrap around the World van november zag, moest ik hier iets mee doen. Ik vind hem prachtig, de kleuren en de materialen...

Daarom heb ik het ter inspiratie gebruikt voor een LO van een foto 2004, van de kerktoren van Airole waar we op vakantie waren.

When I saw the moodboard of Scrap around the World this month, I really wanted to do something with it. I love it, the colors, the materials used... 

So I made a LO of a picture made in 2004. We were on holiday in Airole and made this picture of the churchtower.

Dit is mijn uitwerking:

Ik heb roze muziekpapier als basis gebruikt, samen met wat restjes van BoBunny. De planken achter de foto zijn gestempeld en uitgeknipt. De roosjes heb ik met dylusions, pearl mist en glimmer mist in verschillende kleuren gespoten. Verder heb ik op de achtergrond nog wat spetters en doily's gestempeld.

I used some pink paper with musicnotes as basic, with some little pieces of design paper by BoBunny. The shelves behind the picture is a stamp. I sprayed the roses in differtent colors with dylusions, glimmer mist and pearl mist ans stamped some grunges and doily's at the background.

My experiment

Op mijn vorige blogpost liet ik al weten dat ik helemaal in de mood was om lekker te scrappen en druk aan het experimenteren was met een Lay Out... En hier dan het resultaat. Heerlijk dat kliederen, spelen met kleuren, vormen, materialen. I love it!

On my last blogpost I wrote already that I am totally in the mood of scrapping today, and that I had begun on a new experiment with a Lay Out. Here the result of that. I love so much playing with different colours and materials! 

Met deze Lay Out wil ik meedoen met een aantal challenges:
With this Lay Out I want to enter a couple of challeges:

Allereerst Scrap Around The World met dit prachtige moodboard. Ik heb geprobeerd een romantische sprookjessfeer te creeren met subtiele glimmers van de glimmermist en de kleuren van de boeken. Ook heb ik wat vintage embellies gebruikt.

At first Scrap around the World with this lovely moodboard. I've tried to create a romantic 'fairytalestyle' with a shimmer of glimmermist and the colours of the books. A also added some vintage embellishments.

Ook het moodboard van Scrapplezier ligt deze maand wel een beetje in dezelfde stijl.. Rozen, boeken, beetje vintage. Ik heb de rozen en de boekenpagina's terug laten komen op de Lay Out.

The moodboard of 'Scrapplezier' is also a little bit in the same style I think.. I used some (pink) roses and bookpages on my Lay Out.

Paperwings: Ik heb lint gebruikt onder de foto, en twine om de cirkel om de foto te maken.

Paperwings: I used ribbon below the picture, and twine to make a circle around the picture.


Scrap it girl: De dots en hartjes zijn stencils, gebruikt met modeling paste. De doodles in de hoeken en muziekbalken zijn stempels.

SIWAS: On top of the world

Hallo allemaal,

Het is weer tijd voor de uitdaging bij Scrap it with a song. Deze maand zijn er wat veranderingen, de belangrijkste is dat voortaan de eerste van de maand zowel een pop als een rocksong worden gegeven, zodat iedereen met beide 4 weken de tijd heeft om aan de slag te gaan. Daarnaast zal vanaf nu elke maand één van onze DT-leden een klein prijsje ter beschikking stellen voor de winnaar van de challenge.

It is time for the new challenge on the blog of Scrap it with a song. This month we have some changes in the rules. Most important is that we give you the popsong as well as the rocksong at the first of the month, so you have 4 weeks for both songs to work with. Another change is that every month one of the DT-members make a little RAK as a price for the winner of the challenge.

Bij deze mijn bijdrage voor de challenge ter inspiratie. De rocksong deze maand is "On top of the world" van Imagine Dragons. Ik heb er deze LO voor gemaakt:

Here is my work for the rocksong this month. It is "On top of the world" by Imagine Dragons. I made a LO:

De tekst vond ik toepasselijk omdat Gelmar hier van de dijk 'rent'. We maken wel eens de grap dat we hier bijna van de wereld afvallen, dus vandaar de subtitel 'on top of the world' 

Ik heb de achtergrond gemaakt met stazon inkt, stempels, masks en glimmermist. Het papier is van Echo park, een stukje lint, washitape, bloemen, dewdrops, rhinestones en een naairandje maken de LO compleet. 

I used the line "Run away" because my son is running down the dike near our hometown. Because we live in the very north of our country we often say it's "On top of the world". 

Ik made the background with stazon ink, stamps, masks and glimmermist. The paper is by Echo Park and a ribbon, some washi, flowers, dewdrops, rhinestones and some sewing have made the LO complete.

SIWAS: Times like these

Zie ik ineens dat ik mijn LO van SIWAS nog niet eens hier heb laten zien... en ik mocht zelf nog wel een liedje uitkiezen!

Suddenly I figured that I forgot to show my LO for the SIWAS challenge of this month here.. And it was my turn to pick a song!

Ik heb voor het liedje 'Times like these' van the Foo fighters gekozen, met deze songtekst kun je volgens mij verschillende kanten op. Dit is mijn uitwerking:

I picked the song 'Times lik these' by the Foo fighters, I think it is a song you can use in different ways. This is mine:

Ik heb er vanwege onze roze en blauwe hippiekleding, een roze-blauwe flowerpower LO van gemaakt, met de titel van het liedje als titel. Verder heb ik lekker gekliederd met gesso, masks, modeling paste en stempels. een stukje lint, wat washitape, en stukje verband en wat bloemetjes maken hem af.

We were dressed in pink and blue flowerpower cloths, so that is also the theme and colours of this LO. I used the title of the song as title of the LO, and splashed around with gesso, modeling paste masks and stamps. To finish it I used a little piece of  gauze, a ribbon, some washitape and some home-made flowers.

Leuk dat je weer even kwam kijken, ik hoor graag van je wat je er van vindt! De challenge loopt nog tot 28 juli.

Ff oefenen

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag een LO gemaakt van één van onze vakantiefoto's van vorige week:

Met deze LO wil ik meedoen met de challenge van Dutch Dare: gebruik waterverf. Ik heb waterverf gebruikt om spetters te maken op de LO. Ook wil ik met deze meedoen met de scrapchallenge van Cards and Scrap. Ik heb een aantal doilies gestempeld op de LO. Verder heb ik washitape, bloemetjes uit de gewonnen rak van Cen S en designpapier van We're memorykeepers gebruikt.

Gisteravond was er geen voetbal op tv... Dus had ik even tijd om te scrappen ;) Ik heb een LO gemaakt naar de schets van Creative Scrappers:

Yesterday there was no soccer on tv... Time to scrap! ;) I made a LO with the sketch of Creative scrappers:

Ik heb hierbij ook de challenges van Cards an Scrap ( scrap uitdaging distress) en Dutch Dares (grid) gebruikt. Alle randjes heb ik gedistresst en bewerkt met distress inkt. Ik heb een mask van kippengaas gebruikt, en "gestempeld" met een stuk gaas dat je normaal voor het afwerken van muren gebruikt. Ook heb ik een stukje van het gaas onder de washitape gebruikt. Het papier is van Graphic 45: Bohemian Bazaar. 

I used also the challenges by Cards and Scrap (distress) and Dutch Dares (grid). I "distressed" te edges of all the paper. I used for the grid a mask of nettings, and I stamped with a little piece of netting that we used to make the walls. I used also this netting on the LO under the washitape. The paper I used is by Graphic 45: Bohemian Bazaar.

SIWAS: Aerosmith, Hole in my soul

Het is weer de 15e van de maand, en dus weer tijd voor een nieuwe song om te scrappen bij Scrap it with a song. Ditmaal een liedje van de rocklegendes Aerosmith: Hole in my soul. Dit is, ook gezien de tijd van het jaar wel met recht een uitdaging, maar dat maakt het ook wel weer leuk om toch iets te vinden.

Hi everyone,

It's the 15th of the month, so it's time for a new challenge at Scrap it with a song. This time a song by the iving legends of Aerosmit: Hole in my soul. I must admid, I think it is a real challenge, but than it really is so much fun to find something, a word, or a line, to work with...

Dit is mijn uitwerking geworden. Ik heb een foto van Gelmar gescrapt, gemaakt tijdens het Geocachen. We vinden het erg leuk om verstopte "schatten" te zoeken en natuurlijk vooral om ze te vinden, dus een toepasselijke titel vond ik in de zin "Take a look and you wil find" 

This is my entry for de DT. I scrapped a picture of Gelmar, we were Geocaching there. We like to search and find some hidden treasures all over the place, so I immediately thought about this when I saw the line "Take a look and you will find"

Hopelijk inspireert dit liedje, of de andere challenge van deze maand. "All summer long" van Kid Rock, jullie om ook deel te nemen aan onze challenge. Je mag een zin of een woord uit de songtekst gebruiken, of je laten inspireren door de muziek, de titel of de videoclip. Ook mag je woorden of zinnen vertalen en gebruiken. (Noem dit in dat geval wel in de omschrijving) Een LO, kaart, Art Journal of ander werkstuk, alles is toegestaan. Succes! 

I hope this song, or the other one of this month, "All summer long" bij Kid Rock, inspires you to make a LO, card, Art Journal or other creation. You are allowed to use a line or word from the lyrics, or get inspired by the Title, music or videoclip. You can also translate words or lines, if you name this in the discription of your entry. SIWAS: Iggy Pop "Passenger"

Het is weer de 15de, dus tijd voor de nieuwe rockchallenge van Siwas: Passenger van Iggy Pop. Als Rockchick mocht ik hier ook mijn bijdrage aan leveren:

It is the 15th again, so it is time for the new Rockchallenge on SIWAS: Passenger of Iggy Pop. As a rockchick it was also my turn to make a LO to inspire:

Ik heb voor deze LO wat restjes van designpapier en embellies gebruikt die ik ooit eens van iemand had overgenomen. Verder lekker gekliederd met inkt, stempels, modeling paste, masks en perlenpen, wat washi tape, bloemetjes, een stukje touw, knoopjes en rub-ons maken de LO af.

I used some leftovers of designpaper and embellishments and I was horsing around with stamps, ink, modeling past, templates and perlenpen. To finish I used some washi tape, flowers, twine, buttons and rub-ons.

Scrapweekend..

Het is alweer een tijdje geleden dat we scrapweekend hebben gehad... en ik zag dat ik mijn werk nog niet geshowd had hier ;) Bij deze..

Deze LO had ik voor het weekend gemaakt voor Jetty voor een fotoswap...

En deze prachtige LO kreeg ik van Annemarie :)

Samen met de LO voor Siwas van maart heb ik deze op het weekend gemaakt. Met de onderste heb ik ook meegedaan met de snn uitdaging van maart, omdat ik dewdrops heb gebruikt..

 2 snelle washitape kaartjes

 Een cadeautasje (heb hem helaas al weggegeven, toen k zag dat de foto niet scherp was... )

 En wat probeersels met een nieuwe stempel (atctjes) en nav een mini workshopje van Anette :)

Ook heb ik nog een koffertje met mini-albumpje gemaakt, maar die moet nog op de foto. Later meer dus!

SIWAS: Who knew-Pink

Eindelijk mag ik mijn LO laten zien... :) Deze had ik vorige week al gemaakt, maar dit weekend kwam de challenge van Scrap it with a Song dan toch eindelijk online.

Het liedje van deze keer was "Who knew" van Pink. Ik wilde, ondanks de toch wat trieste lading van het liedje, graag een mooie boodschap in mijn LO verwerken. Ik heb daarom gekozen voor de tekst "Count your blessings"

At last I can show my LO... I made it last week, and this weekend went the new challenge of Scrap it with a song online.

The song this time is "Who knew"of Pink. It is a little bit a sad song, but I wanted to make a positive LO, so I have chosen the line "Count your blessings"

Het is een foto van mijn zoon Gelmar, net een week oud. Hij was 11 weken te vroeg, dus het was hier nog echt een minimensje. Gelukkig kunnen we 5 en een half jaar later nog steeds genieten van ons wonder, dus de tekst leek me wel toepasselijk.

This is a picture of my son Gelmar, one week old. He was born 11 weeks to early, so he was a realy tiny boy.. It is now 5 years later and we still can enjoy with our little miracle, so I think this is a good title for this LO

Scrap it with a song: November Rain

Zoals ik al in een eerdere blogpost heb verteld, ben ik gevraagd om in het designteam van Scrap it with a song te komen, en vandaag mag ik eindelijk de eerste uitdaging met een bijrage van mij laten zien. Ik ben een Rock-lady en mocht gelijk bij de eerste uitdaging van november aan de bak.
De eerste uitdaging voor deze maand is het liedje November Rain van Guns n' Roses. Een klassieker natuurlijk, het bezorgt mij nog altijd kippenvel...

Hi everyone! 

As I told in an earlier post on this blog, I'm in the designteam of scrap it with a song. And today I can finally show you my first DT-work! I am a Rock-lady and the first challenge of this month is the song November Rain of Guns n' Roses. Really a classic rocksong ofcourse, I get goose bumps every time I listen to it...

Ik heb voor deze challenge 2 uitwerkingen gemaakt. De eerste is een LO met de eerste zin van de songtekst: When I look into your eyes. Natuurlijk vanwege de grote blauwe ogen van mijn zoontje op de foto!

I made 2 creations for this challenge. The first one is a LO with the first line of the songtext: When I look into your eyes. This ofcourse because the big blue eyes of my son on the picture!

Ik heb voor deze LO designpapier Ad Lib van Bobunny gebruikt. Ook heb ik de achtergrond bewerkt met gesso, templates, stempels, distressinkt, distress stains en modeling paste, en hier en daar wat ruw gemaakt. Ik heb een embellie gemaakt van een frame met een stukje designpapier, en een zelfgemaakt bloemetje en een hartje maken de LO af. Tenslotte heb ik voor de finishing touch de LO met wit en bruine fineliner omgetrokken.

I used the designpaper "Ad Lib" from Bobunny. The background I crafted with gesso, stamps, templates, distress ink, stains and modelling paste and I made it al little bit rough. The round embellisment is a frame with designpaper, the flower was made by myself (from babytwipes :) ) and a iron heart finnished the LO. Around the LO I draw a line with white and brown fineliner

De tweede is een kaartje, met een digi-stempel van Kenny K, onze sponsor van deze maand. Ik heb deze stempel gekozen, omdat hij me door de hoed, het haar en de gitaar erg aan de geweldige gitaarsolo van Slash in dit liedje doet denken..

The second one is a card, with a digistamp from Kenny K, the sponsor of this month. I have chosen this one, because this girl reminds me very much of the legendary guitarsolo of Slash in the song..

Vanwege het Burlesque uiterlijk van de digi heb ik bij dit kaartje gekozen voor een andere lijn van Bobunny, met wat donkerdere kleuren. Het kaartje heb ik ingekleurd met mijn derwent potloden, en een lintje, wat perlenpen en roosjes maken het kaartje af.

Becauso of the Burlesque look of the stamp, I used an other line of Bobunny, with more dark colours. I coloured it with my derwent pncils, and a ribbon, perlen-pen and 2 little roses make the finnishing touch on this card.

Natuurlijk hoop ik dat de voorbeelden van mij en de rest van het team jullie inspireren, en dat we veel inzendingen mogen ontvangen voor deze maand. Er komen nog 3 liedjes, en alle vier de liedjes doen mee voor de maand november! Kijk voor meer info natuurlijk ook even op het blog van SIWAS!!

Zondag heb ik weer heerlijk een dagje met 4 scrapvriendinnen gefröbeld.. Wat heerlijk is dat toch! Ik heb een LO gemaakt van de foto die we de vorige keer dat we bij elkaar waren gemaakt hebben..

On sunday I had a wonderfull day scrapping with my 4 scrap-friends.. I love it!! I made a LO with the picture we made last time when we were together...

Ik heb het designapier "So happy together" van Echo Park gebruikt, en de achtergrond weer bewerkt met stempels, templates, distressinkt en modeling paste. De bloemen heb ik zelf gemaakt van oude boekpagina's gekleurd met dylusions, en ik heb washi-tape, twine en een bedeltje gebruikt. Met deze LO wil ik meedoen met de scrapuitdaging van Cards and Scrap

I used the designpaper "So happy together" from Echo Park, and crafted the background with stamps, templates, distress in en modelling paste. The flowers I made of an old book, coloured with dylusions, and I used washi tape, twine and a charm.

's Avonds heb ik nog een kerstkaartje en ATCtjes gemaakt:

I made also a Christmascard and ATC's when I was home again...

Found it!

Afgelopen vrijdag dan toch weer even tijd gehad om lekker te scrappen... Even lekker voor mezelf aan de gang geweest. Lekker gekliederd, met dit als resultaat:

Last fridag I finaly had some time for myself to scrap again. I smashed a little, with this result:

Ik heb veschillende masks en stempels (waaronder mijn niet spetterstempels) gebruikt, en een oude lijn papier van October afternoon: Road trip. Wel erg toepasselijk bij het onderwerp.. Ben regelmatig (met Gelmar, een vriendin of alleen) "on the road" om te geocachen, schatzoeken met de GPS. In die trant heb ik ook de embellies gekozen. Als je een "cache" hebt gevonden vul je op de website in "Found it", vandaar de titel.

Leuk dat je weer kwam kijken!

I used several mask and stamps, also my new SU Grunge stamps, and "old"paper, Road trip from October afternoon. This matcht very wel by the subject: Im regularry on the road (sometimes with Gelmar or a good friend) to geocaching: Finding "treasures" with GPS. I also used embellies that match with it. When you have found a "cache", you Log your visit on the website with a "Found it", so that why it is the title.

Exciting news... and a new LO

Hallo allemaal!

Allereerst heb ik een leuk nieuwtje: Ik mag namelijk aan de slag als DTer voor het blog Scrap it with a song!! Ik ben natuurlijk superblij dat ze mij samen met nog een aantal anderen hebben uitgekozen, en kan niet wachten om te beginnen!! Bij scrap it with a song staat elke week een songtekst centraal, die als inspiratie kan dienen voor een LO, kaart of andere knutsel. Klik hier om naar het blog te gaan (of klik op de banner aan de zijkant) Om de mensen buiten Nederland ook iets van mijn blog te laten begrijpen, zal ik daarom vanaf nu ook een stukje in het Engels in mijn berichtjes zetten. (Ik geloof dat ik beter Engels kan dan Google translate :p)

I have some exciting news: I am  in the design team for Scrap it with a song!! I am so happy to be chosen with some other great scrappers, and I can't wait to begin! Every week there is a song, for inspiration for a LO, card or anything else. For the blog you can click here. I want that everyone, also outside the Netherlands, can  understand a little bit what I write here, so from now on I write also in English. (I think that I can do better than Google translate :p)


Inspirerend, zo'n nieuwe uitdaging. Daarom heb ik daar vandaag gelijk maar gebruik van gemaakt, en een LO gemaakt. Dit is een lift van de LO van de scrapuitdaging van Cards and Scrap van deze maand. Mijn uitwerking:

Kopjes geven

Deze maand was de uitdaging voor de scrap uitdaging van Cards and Scrap een sketch. Ik vond hem erg leuk, en heb er dan ook een LO mee gemaakt:

Deze keer heb ik ervoor gekozen om de achtergrond niet te bewerken, omdat het designpapier ook al vrij druk is. De foto is van vorig jaar, met onze helaas onlangs overleden kater Nino.

Dit was het alweer, tot de volgende keer!

Let love shine

Dit weekend weer een LO gemaakt. Tijdens de vakantie hebben we best wel veel foto's van ons samen gemaakt.. Dit is er één van. De titel is geïnspireerd op het liedje Holiday van Madonna, één van de liedjes van Scrap it with a song van deze maand. Ik had nog het geweldige papier Love story van Echo Park, dat paste leuk bij deze foto. Verder heb ik weer met masks, stempels, distress inkt, stains en dylusions de achtergrond gemaakt. Washi tape, kant en wat embellies maken de LO af. Met deze LO wil ik dus nog een keer meedoen met de challenge van scrap it with a song, maar ook met de scrap uitdaging van Cards and scrap.
