Airole

Hallo allemaal,

Toen ik het moodboard van Scrap around the World van november zag, moest ik hier iets mee doen. Ik vind hem prachtig, de kleuren en de materialen...

Daarom heb ik het ter inspiratie gebruikt voor een LO van een foto 2004, van de kerktoren van Airole waar we op vakantie waren.

When I saw the moodboard of Scrap around the World this month, I really wanted to do something with it. I love it, the colors, the materials used... 

So I made a LO of a picture made in 2004. We were on holiday in Airole and made this picture of the churchtower.

Ik heb roze muziekpapier als basis gebruikt, samen met wat restjes van BoBunny. De planken achter de foto zijn gestempeld en uitgeknipt. De roosjes heb ik met dylusions, pearl mist en glimmer mist in verschillende kleuren gespoten. Verder heb ik op de achtergrond nog wat spetters en doily's gestempeld.

I used some pink paper with musicnotes as basic, with some little pieces of design paper by BoBunny. The shelves behind the picture is a stamp. I sprayed the roses in differtent colors with dylusions, glimmer mist and pearl mist ans stamped some grunges and doily's at the background.

Dat was het eerst weer, bedankt voor het kijken, ik zou het leuk vinden als je een reactie achterlaat. Tot snel!

My experiment

Op mijn vorige blogpost liet ik al weten dat ik helemaal in de mood was om lekker te scrappen en druk aan het experimenteren was met een Lay Out... En hier dan het resultaat. Heerlijk dat kliederen, spelen met kleuren, vormen, materialen. I love it!

On my last blogpost I wrote already that I am totally in the mood of scrapping today, and that I had begun on a new experiment with a Lay Out. Here the result of that. I love so much playing with different colours and materials! 

Met deze Lay Out wil ik meedoen met een aantal challenges:

Allereerst Scrap Around The World met dit prachtige moodboard. Ik heb geprobeerd een romantische sprookjessfeer te creeren met subtiele glimmers van de glimmermist en de kleuren van de boeken. Ook heb ik wat vintage embellies gebruikt.

At first Scrap around the World with this lovely moodboard. I've tried to create a romantic 'fairytalestyle' with a shimmer of glimmermist and the colours of the books. A also added some vintage embellishments.

Ook het moodboard van Scrapplezier ligt deze maand wel een beetje in dezelfde stijl.. Rozen, boeken, beetje vintage. Ik heb de rozen en de boekenpagina's terug laten komen op de Lay Out.

The moodboard of 'Scrapplezier' is also a little bit in the same style I think.. I used some (pink) roses and bookpages on my Lay Out.

Paperwings: Ik heb lint gebruikt onder de foto, en twine om de cirkel om de foto te maken.

Paperwings: I used ribbon below the picture, and twine to make a circle around the picture.


Scrap it girl: De dots en hartjes zijn stencils, gebruikt met modeling paste. De doodles in de hoeken en muziekbalken zijn stempels.

SIWAS: On top of the world

Hallo allemaal,

Het is weer tijd voor de uitdaging bij Scrap it with a song. Deze maand zijn er wat veranderingen, de belangrijkste is dat voortaan de eerste van de maand zowel een pop als een rocksong worden gegeven, zodat iedereen met beide 4 weken de tijd heeft om aan de slag te gaan. Daarnaast zal vanaf nu elke maand één van onze DT-leden een klein prijsje ter beschikking stellen voor de winnaar van de challenge.

It is time for the new challenge on the blog of Scrap it with a song. This month we have some changes in the rules. Most important is that we give you the popsong as well as the rocksong at the first of the month, so you have 4 weeks for both songs to work with. Another change is that every month one of the DT-members make a little RAK as a price for the winner of the challenge.

Bij deze mijn bijdrage voor de challenge ter inspiratie. De rocksong deze maand is "On top of the world" van Imagine Dragons. Ik heb er deze LO voor gemaakt:

Here is my work for the rocksong this month. It is "On top of the world" by Imagine Dragons. I made a LO:

De tekst vond ik toepasselijk omdat Gelmar hier van de dijk 'rent'. We maken wel eens de grap dat we hier bijna van de wereld afvallen, dus vandaar de subtitel 'on top of the world' 

Ik heb de achtergrond gemaakt met stazon inkt, stempels, masks en glimmermist. Het papier is van Echo park, een stukje lint, washitape, bloemen, dewdrops, rhinestones en een naairandje maken de LO compleet. 

I used the line "Run away" because my son is running down the dike near our hometown. Because we live in the very north of our country we often say it's "On top of the world". 

Ik made the background with stazon ink, stamps, masks and glimmermist. The paper is by Echo Park and a ribbon, some washi, flowers, dewdrops, rhinestones and some sewing have made the LO complete.

SIWAS: Queen-Don't stop me now

Hallo allemaal!

Het is de 15e, en dus tijd voor een nieuw liedje bij Scrap it with a song. En de 15e zijn wij rockdames aan de beurt, dus ook mijn bijdrage is weer van de partij..

Dit keer een werkelijk geweldig liedje, van één van de beste bands ooit: Queen. Don't stop me now, wat een geweldig energiek liedje!

It is the 15th of the month, so it is time for a new challenge at Scrap it with a song. And it is our turn as rock ladies, so there is also mine..

This time we have a really fantastic song, by what I think is the best band ever: Queen. Don't stop me now, what a wonderfull energetic song!

Ik heb de tekst "Having a good time" gebruikt, voor een foto van Gelmar met mijn zussen en zwagers. Tijdens onze Sinterklaasviering kregen mijn zus, zwager en Gelmar een beestenpak, en trokken mijn andere zus en zwager ook een pak aan. Het was natuurlijk dikke lol!

I used the line "Having a good time". On the picture has Gelmar a lot of fun with my sisters en brothers in law. Gelmar, my sister and brither in law got an "animalsuit" and my onther sister en her boyfriend also got dressed in a suit. We had a really good time!
