Challenge Scrap around the world

Scrap around the world heeft een dusdanig gaaf moodboard deze maand, daar moest ik nog een LO van maken! Ik ben dol op kleuren, bloemen en vlinders..

Scrap arond the world has such an awesome moodboard this month, I had to make a LO inspired by it! I love bright colors, flowers and butterflies...

Ik heb er deze vrolijke LO van gemaakt, met een foto gemaakt in onze vakantie:

Lente! Eindelijk! Ondanks het druilerige weer hier had ik echt zin om een vrolijke LO te maken. Het moodboard van Scrap around the world was hiervoor de inspiratie:

Spring! At last! It is still a little bad weather right here, but I was totally in the mood for a very bright LO. I used the moodboard of Scrap around the world for some inspiration:

Ik hou van blauw en geel, dus ben even los gegaan met deze kleuren! Gecombineerd met hout en touw is het dit geworden:

I love blue and yellow together, so I went to rock and roll with it! I combined it with some twine and wood for the natural look of the moodboard:

Een stansje en een stempel maken het af. Met deze LO wil ik ook graag meedoen met de scrapuitdaging 21 van Cards and Scrap: textuur. Met modeling paste, gesso en Inka Gold heb ik op de ondergrond verschillende texturen gemaakt. Maar ook door de doily's en embellishments heeft mijn LO verschillende texturen gekregen.

A die and a stamp to finish this LO. I also want to entry the challenge of Card and Scrap: texture. I used different techniques to make some textures on my LO.

I also want to enjoy the challenge of Mixed Media Place, typography. I made this LO inspired on the quote I used..

Tot zover eerst maar weer, ik zou het leuk vinden als je laat weten wat je er van vindt!

SIWAS: On top of the world

Hallo allemaal,

Het is weer tijd voor de uitdaging bij Scrap it with a song. Deze maand zijn er wat veranderingen, de belangrijkste is dat voortaan de eerste van de maand zowel een pop als een rocksong worden gegeven, zodat iedereen met beide 4 weken de tijd heeft om aan de slag te gaan. Daarnaast zal vanaf nu elke maand één van onze DT-leden een klein prijsje ter beschikking stellen voor de winnaar van de challenge.

Hi everyone,

It is time for the new challenge on the blog of Scrap it with a song. This month we have some changes in the rules. Most important is that we give you the popsong as well as the rocksong at the first of the month, so you have 4 weeks for both songs to work with. Another change is that every month one of the DT-members make a little RAK as a price for the winner of the challenge.

Bij deze mijn bijdrage voor de challenge ter inspiratie. De rocksong deze maand is "On top of the world" van Imagine Dragons. Ik heb er deze LO voor gemaakt:

Here is my work for the rocksong this month. It is "On top of the world" by Imagine Dragons. I made a LO:

De tekst vond ik toepasselijk omdat Gelmar hier van de dijk 'rent'. We maken wel eens de grap dat we hier bijna van de wereld afvallen, dus vandaar de subtitel 'on top of the world' 

Ik heb de achtergrond gemaakt met stazon inkt, stempels, masks en glimmermist. Het papier is van Echo park, een stukje lint, washitape, bloemen, dewdrops, rhinestones en een naairandje maken de LO compleet. 

I used the line "Run away" because my son is running down the dike near our hometown. Because we live in the very north of our country we often say it's "On top of the world". 

Ik made the background with stazon ink, stamps, masks and glimmermist. The paper is by Echo Park and a ribbon, some washi, flowers, dewdrops, rhinestones and some sewing have made the LO complete.

SIWAS: Times like these

Zie ik ineens dat ik mijn LO van SIWAS nog niet eens hier heb laten zien... en ik mocht zelf nog wel een liedje uitkiezen!

Suddenly I figured that I forgot to show my LO for the SIWAS challenge of this month here.. And it was my turn to pick a song!

Ik heb voor het liedje 'Times like these' van the Foo fighters gekozen, met deze songtekst kun je volgens mij verschillende kanten op. Dit is mijn uitwerking:

I picked the song 'Times lik these' by the Foo fighters, I think it is a song you can use in different ways. This is mine:

Ik heb er vanwege onze roze en blauwe hippiekleding, een roze-blauwe flowerpower LO van gemaakt, met de titel van het liedje als titel. Verder heb ik lekker gekliederd met gesso, masks, modeling paste en stempels. een stukje lint, wat washitape, en stukje verband en wat bloemetjes maken hem af.

We were dressed in pink and blue flowerpower cloths, so that is also the theme and colours of this LO. I used the title of the song as title of the LO, and splashed around with gesso, modeling paste masks and stamps. To finish it I used a little piece of  gauze, a ribbon, some washitape and some home-made flowers.

Leuk dat je weer even kwam kijken, ik hoor graag van je wat je er van vindt! De challenge loopt nog tot 28 juli.

Ff oefenen

Hallo allemaal,

Vandaag een LO gemaakt van één van onze vakantiefoto's van vorige week:

Met deze LO wil ik meedoen met de challenge van Dutch Dare: gebruik waterverf. Ik heb waterverf gebruikt om spetters te maken op de LO. Ook wil ik met deze meedoen met de scrapchallenge van Cards and Scrap. Ik heb een aantal doilies gestempeld op de LO. Verder heb ik washitape, bloemetjes uit de gewonnen rak van Cen S en designpapier van We're memorykeepers gebruikt.

Dat was het eerst weer, tot snel!

Gisteravond was er geen voetbal op tv... Dus had ik even tijd om te scrappen ;) Ik heb een LO gemaakt naar de schets van Creative Scrappers:

Yesterday there was no soccer on tv... Time to scrap! ;) I made a LO with the sketch of Creative scrappers:

Ik heb hierbij ook de challenges van Cards an Scrap ( scrap uitdaging distress) en Dutch Dares (grid) gebruikt. Alle randjes heb ik gedistresst en bewerkt met distress inkt. Ik heb een mask van kippengaas gebruikt, en "gestempeld" met een stuk gaas dat je normaal voor het afwerken van muren gebruikt. Ook heb ik een stukje van het gaas onder de washitape gebruikt. Het papier is van Graphic 45: Bohemian Bazaar. 

I used also the challenges by Cards and Scrap (distress) and Dutch Dares (grid). I "distressed" te edges of all the paper. I used for the grid a mask of nettings, and I stamped with a little piece of netting that we used to make the walls. I used also this netting on the LO under the washitape. The paper I used is by Graphic 45: Bohemian Bazaar.
