DT Call!

Hallo allemaal,

Voor de nieuwe periode zijn we van het Desighnteam van Scrap it with a song op zoek naar nieuwe DTers! Vind je het leuk om eens in de maand een creatie (en dat mag van alles zijn, LO, kaart, Art Journal, Mixed Media, ATC of altered) naar aanleiding van een door een DT member gekozen liedje te maken als voorbeeld te inspiratie? En vind je het leuk om in een gezellig internationaal team te zitten (wat niet betekent dat je foutloos Engels moet schrijven.. Geloof me, je leert een hoop bij! ;) )

Hello creative friends! We are excited to announce that we are looking for new DT members for our next term. If you love to be inspired by songs and want to inspire others with your works, we are looking for you!

What are we looking for? 

• Creative people from all over the world that make pretty paper projects inspired by songs: we love scrapbookers, art journalers, tag-ers, ATC-ers, card makers, altered artists. You make them all? Good! You make only one kind of paper craft? Good! As long as you love to play with paper, glue and all the other pretty stuff and like to tell people about it, you’re good! 
• Previous DT experience is not required!
• We have a Facebook group for the DT, so you need to have a Facebook account to stay in communication with us. 
• You need to know English at a quite good level: we are an Italian based blog with international DT and readers, so you need to write post and comment in English.

Design Team Requirements:

• Commit to a 6 month term: July 1 – Dec 31, 2015
• Complete 1 project a month
• Visit challenge participants blogs and leave comments
• Maintain an active and updated blog
• Post our challenges, events, and your projects on your blog on reveal day and link back to the SIWAS Blog
• Promote SIWAS challenges and events on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
• Display the SIWAS “Design Team Badge” on your blog   
• Actively participate in one blog hop or event during the term 
• Submit your DT reveals no later than five days before scheduled post
• You must be able to take quality pictures and write up a short post about your projects
• During your term you will decide one challenge: we will assign you a month and it will be your duty to choose both pop and rock song for the challenge and send a little prize to the winner

Benefits:

• A link to your blog and your photo will be displayed on the SIWAS blog
• Your creations will be promoted through several online sources.
• You will be a part of a group of fun loving,  supportive, drama free scrappers!
• No compensation is given BUT you will receive a little thank you during your term from the blog owner, Giorgia

Canvas

Het is alweer een tijdje geleden dat ik iets geplaatst heb, ik ben de afgelopen maand druk geweest met het één en ander te veranderen in mijn huis. Zonder het te weten bleek het moodboard van Scrap around the world wel heel erg bij mijn eigen nieuwe kleurenschema te passen...

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted something here. I've been busy with changing the colors in my living room. I noticed that my new colors are very much like the boodboard of Scrap around the world..

Wat vind ik dit een gaaf bord! Daarom heb ik een nieuwe canvas voor aan de muur gemaakt, met als thema strand.

I really love this board!! That's why I made an new canvas for the livingroom with it, with a beachtheme.

Ik heb er een mixed media canvas van gemaakt, met als basis verf, modeling paste, dylusions, gesso, brusho en inka gold. Verder heb ik een restje van mijn nieuwe tafelkleed verwerkt, en veel natuurlijke materialen als jute, touw en natuurlijk de schelpen. Een paar bloemetjes en dewdrops geven nog wat extra kleur.

I made a mixed-media project, with paint, modeling paste, dylusions, gesso, brusho and inka gold on the base. I also used a peace of my new tablecloth which was leftover, and many natural materials like burlap, twine and ofcourse the seashells. A few flowers and dewdrops give it some extra color.

Tegenstellingen...

Hoe dicht kan geluk en verdriet soms bij elkaar komen. Vorige week mocht ik een babykaartje maken voor een collega die bevallen is..

Maar ook voor verdrietige dingen heb je wel eens een kaartje nodig.. Eén van de cliënten op mijn net afgeronde stage is vorige week overleden, dus daarom voor zijn familie dit kaartje:

Ik heb voor dit kaartje de sketch gebruikt van Dutch Card Lovers. Om er een wat meer ingetogen kaartje van te maken heb ik een stuk vellum over de gestempelde bloem gedaan. Ook de vlinders zijn geponst uit gekleurd papier en vellum.

Lente! Eindelijk! Ondanks het druilerige weer hier had ik echt zin om een vrolijke LO te maken. Het moodboard van Scrap around the world was hiervoor de inspiratie:

Spring! At last! It is still a little bad weather right here, but I was totally in the mood for a very bright LO. I used the moodboard of Scrap around the world for some inspiration:

Ik hou van blauw en geel, dus ben even los gegaan met deze kleuren! Gecombineerd met hout en touw is het dit geworden:

I love blue and yellow together, so I went to rock and roll with it! I combined it with some twine and wood for the natural look of the moodboard:

Een stansje en een stempel maken het af. Met deze LO wil ik ook graag meedoen met de scrapuitdaging 21 van Cards and Scrap: textuur. Met modeling paste, gesso en Inka Gold heb ik op de ondergrond verschillende texturen gemaakt. Maar ook door de doily's en embellishments heeft mijn LO verschillende texturen gekregen.

A die and a stamp to finish this LO. I also want to entry the challenge of Card and Scrap: texture. I used different techniques to make some textures on my LO.

I also want to enjoy the challenge of Mixed Media Place, typography. I made this LO inspired on the quote I used..

Tot zover eerst maar weer, ik zou het leuk vinden als je laat weten wat je er van vindt!

Kaartjes

Hallo allemaal,

In ons weekend en vandaag heb ik ook nog wat kaarten gemaakt:

 Met deze kaart wil ik graag meedoen met de challenge van Cards and Scrap: Spetters! Ik ben dol op spetters, dit keer met stempels en bling.

 Een kaartje met gelatos en een embossingfolder

Nog een kaartje met spatters, dit keer van mijn dylusions, in combinatie met embossingpoeder.

En nog eenstje met spatters ;)

Als laatste nog een tekstkaartje gemaakt met gelatos, tape, inkt, tekststempels en bling. Met dit kaartje wil ik graag meedoen aan de challenge van Dutch Card Lovers: Alleen tekst.


Dit was het voor nu echt weer even, maar hopelijk snel meer want ik ben weer erg in de scrapmood op het moment!

LO en een mini-album

Hallo allemaal,

Afgelopen weekend heerlijk relaxt met vriendinnen de hort op geweest om een heel weekend te doen waar we zin in hadden. En aangezien we alle 5 erg van scrappen houden was dat onze voornaamste bezigheid.. Heerlijk! Aangezien je alles kunt laten liggen kwam er nog wel redelijk wat uit mijn handen, een deel kan ik al laten zien:


Allereerst een LO die ik voor Wiebine had gemaakt, we ruilen elk jaar met elkaar een foto:

Secret Scrap Lift SNN

Hallo allemaal,

Op het SNN-forum heb ik meegedaan aan een secret scraplift. Een hele uitdaging om de (overigens echt prachtige) LO van Connie in mijn eigen stijl na te maken, maar ik geloof dat het wel gelukt is...

Hi everyone,

I joined a Secret Scrap Lift on the SNN-panel. It was very much a challenge for me to make my own style LO of the really beautiful LO made by Connie.. But I think I passed ;)

Wat was het toch een schatje! Ik heb nog niet heel veel babyfoto's gescrapt, aangezien ik pas echt begon te scrappen toen Gelmar een jaar oud was. Maar deze kan in het babyboek!

He was so adorable then! (And still is btw) I haven't made a lot of LO's of the pictures when Gelmar was a little baby, I started scrapbooking when he was more than a year old.. But this one can put in the babybook!
