Hello everyone,

It's been more than two years ago since I posted a blog on this page... That's a long time! But luckily I haven't stop crafting in that time, I couldn't to be honest.

What I make nowadays? Well, about 1,5 year ago I discovered the Mixed Media, and I fell in love with the 3d style. So I'll show you here a little what I made in the past 2 years. Curious about the rest? I'm on Instagram and Facebook..

It's just a little bit of what I created, but I think this gives a picture of what I'm doing these days.

And now I'm also having a new challenge group on FB, called Mix Up That Song. I had so much fun with Scrap it with a Song in the past and got a go from the owner of that group to create this new one. I hope to see you all there too!

Art Journal Cards

In plaats van een Art Journal met vaste pagina's ben ik in een fotoboekje een soort Art Journal begonnen met correspondentiekaartjes. Een manier voor mij, zeker afgelopen tijd, om mijn ups en downs wat betreft gevoelens op papier te kunnen uiten, potlood, stiften en papier heb ik bijna altijd wel bij de hand. Ik vind het ook erg leuk om zo mijn nieuwe 'hobby', nl handlettering te gebruiken.

At last..

Eindelijk heb ik weer eens zin gehad om te scrappen, dankzij een crop met mijn lieve scrapvriendinnen. En zowaar, ik heb een LO afgekregen... en daarna nog maar eentje met hetzelfde thema gemaakt. Had nu inspiratie ;)

Het papier is van de romantic summer collectie van Studio Light. De onderste LO is tijdelijk in het echt te bewonderen in een klein scrapwinkeltje, Rozaria, in een Multishop hier in de buurt. De achtergrond ervan heb ik bewerkt met stempels, embossingpoeder en distress inkt. De bloemen komen nog uit de collectie zelfgemaakte bloemen van babydoekjes.

Het begin is er dus weer! En de kriebels zijn er ook weer, dus hopelijk binnenkort weer veel meer posts hier...

SIWAS, combined with Challenge YOUrself

Hallo allemaal,

Op de valreep wil ik nog even mijn LO laten zien, gemaakt voor het DT van Scrap it with a Song, in combinatie deze maand met Challenge YOUrself. De rocksong is So am I van Kensington, één van mijn favoriete Nederlandse bands van het moment. Voor challenge YOUrself was er een moodboard ter inspiratie, en je moet een foto van jezelf gebruiken.

Kaartjes

Hallo allemaal,

Afgelopen vrijdag ben ik gezellig met scrapvriendinnen naar de Knotsgekke kaarten en scrapdagen in Zwolle geweest. Dankzij Annemarie, van wie ik een kaartje won, en Hobby Resort, bij wie ik de facebookactie van €30,- shoptegoed gewonnen had, heb ik even heerlijk eea in kunnen slaan! 

En tsja, als je dan nieuwe spulletjes hebt dan kriebelt het eindelijk ook weer om er iets mee te maken. 2 Kaartjes kan ik hier alvast laten zien:

Ik had een schattig stansje van een tekstballonnetje gescoord. En laat dat nou net de challenge bij Dutch Card Lovers zijn! Bij deze wil ik dan ook graag mee doen met deze challenge.

De stazon inktjes Valentine en Hawaii heb ik bij Hobby Resort gekocht, wat een gave kleurtjes zijn dat! De telefoon heb ik nogmaals gestempeld op een memoblaadje en uitgeknipt, om zo een mask te maken en hier weer overheen te kunnen stempelen.

Daarna nog maar even een kaartje, dit keer met de Stazon Hawaii en Violet. 

Hopelijk binnenkort weer meer, de scrapzin komt in ieder geval langzaam weer terug!

SIWAS challenge

Hallo allemaal,


Eindelijk heb ik de flow weer een beetje te pakken en heb ik weer wat DT werk gemaakt. Als eerste mijn werk voor Scrap it with a Song.

Het liedje voor de Rockchicks is deze maand 'Ex's and ohs' van Elle King. Een leuk, vrolijk liedje maar ik vond het nog wel lastig om de tekst te gebruiken. (Mijn mede DTer Giorgia heeft het anders aangepakt, kijk maar snel op het blog!)

Maar toen kreeg ik een idee, namelijk om een foto van mijn ex te gebruiken. Hij is dan wel mijn ex, maar we zijn nog steeds vrienden en de ouders van onze zoon...

Finally I got a little bit flow to scrap something, and I joined the DT's again.. Here's my work for Scrap it with a Song.

The rocksong this month is "Ex's and ohs" by Elly King. A very nice and happy song, but for me it was a little bit a challenge to use the lyrics.. (The other Rockchick of the first reveal, Giorgia, has made a total different LO, go check it out!)

But then I got the idea to use the word "Ex" for a Layout about my ex-husband. We are still friends, and raise our son together as much as possible.

Ik heb voor deze LO weer eens mijn 'all time favorite' papier uit de kast getrokken: Block Party van Bobunny. De sterren heb ik steeds terug laten komen, met modeling paste, met houten embellies en stansjes. Verder heb ik nog wat perfect pearl en dylusions gebruikt voor de achtergrond. wat stoer metaal, dewdrops en de tekst uit mijn lettertang maken de LO af.

For this LO I used my all time favorite design paper: Block Party by Bobunny. I made different stars, with modeling paste, with wooden embellishments and with some die cuts.The background I also edited with dylusions and perfect pearl. Some metal, characters and dew drops finished the LO.


Dat was het eerst weer, tot snel maar weer!

Daar was ik weer..

Hallo allemaal,

Ik heb een tijd niets van me laten horen hier, dat heeft wel zo zn redenen, behalve de normale drukte. In november hebben we helaas afscheid moeten nemen van mijn grote liefde, die op 35 jarige leeftijd de strijd tegen kanker verloor voordat we wisten dat hij moest strijden.. Een lief en goed mens is er niet meer en natuurlijk mis ik hem nog ieder moment.

Ik zie nu dat ik de laatste LO van ons samen, gemaakt voor Scrap it with a Song in oktober, hier nooit heb geplaatst. Daarom wil ik deze alsnog met jullie delen:

Een eerbetoon aan mijn lieve, optimistische Johan, met wat wel een beetje zijn levensmotto was.

Daarna is het een hele tijd stil geweest, het werd voor mij letterlijk stil maar ook op creatief gebied kreeg ik niets uit handen. Gelukkig heeft het samen scrappen met lieve vriendinnen dit weer een beetje doorbroken, en kan ik dus verschillende kaartjes laten zien:

Helaas moest ik ook nog 2 rouw- en een beterschapkaartje hebben.. Maar ik weet nu hoeveel het kan betekenen, dus ik maak ze met liefde.

Dit was het eerst weer, hopelijk snel meer!

And now... My song for the bloghop! 

I was at a great festival here in the Netherlands this summer, with Lionel Richie as last perform. I never thought we would have so much fun, it was really Amazing!

Since there is one song by Lionel Richie in the list, I have chosen "Dancing on the ceiling" for the bloghop. And ofcourse I made a Lay Out of that really nice day...

I used some printables of Avec les Mains for this Layout. They have so many nice printables, I had trouble to choose! For this Lay Out I used a paper with blocs and one with music notes. But I had downloaded also nice 'wood' paper. I decided to make a card with that, it's really nice as basic. I used the line "We're gonna have a party" to get inspired for a invitation card of my son's 7th birthday next month:

And the nicest thing of printables: I can make all the other invintations just like this one! :)

SIWAS augustus: Beautiful Sunday van Daniël Boone

Bij Scrap it with a song is het weer tijd voor een nieuwe challenge. Deze maand hebben we weer 2 leuke liedjes: Beautiful Sunday van Daniel Boone en Call it what you want van New Kids on the Block. Als rockchick mocht ik aan de slag met het eerste liedje:

Ik heb er deze LO voor gemaakt, met een stuk van de tekst gestempeld er onder. Natuurlijk hopen we weer op veel inzendingen deze maand (ik ben sinds kort coördinator, vandaar de spam :p) dus kom gauw ook naar de andere voorbeelden kijken!

Challenge Scrap around the world

Scrap around the world heeft een dusdanig gaaf moodboard deze maand, daar moest ik nog een LO van maken! Ik ben dol op kleuren, bloemen en vlinders..

Scrap arond the world has such an awesome moodboard this month, I had to make a LO inspired by it! I love bright colors, flowers and butterflies...

Ik heb er deze vrolijke LO van gemaakt, met een foto gemaakt in onze vakantie:

Bij Art Journey hebben ze een erg leuke uitdaging: Laat 50% van de kaart wit. Best wel een uitdaging als je wel van een kleurtje en geklieder houdt... Ondanks dat ik nog niet echt stempels van Art Journey heb voldoet het kaartje niet aan de eisen vrees ik, maar ik wilde hem toch wel even showen.. Dit is hem geworden:

I've noticed a very nice challenge at the blog of Art Journey: let 50 of you creation be white. That's pretty sure a challenge for me, I really love colours! I don't have stamps of Art Journey yet, so I don't fulfil at the rules to enter the challenge I think, but I still wanted to show my card:

SIWAS: Never let me go

Hallo allemaal,

Het is al een tijd geleden dat ik iets heb laten zien, de scrap-dip houdt nog even aan blijkbaar... Maar nu met de vakantie en hopelijk een boel nieuwe foto's in het verschiet hoop ik toch weer snel aan de scrap te gaan.
Ondertussen ging ook het DT werk voor Scrap it with a Song natuurlijk door. Het liedje van deze maand voor ons Rockchicks is 'Never let me go' van Florence and the Machines. Het liedje kwam op mij als een soort trance, een soort droom over, dus daar heb ik dan ook een Art Journal van gemaakt:

It's been a while since I've showed something, I'm totally not in the mood for months now.. But now, with vacation and I hope a lot of new photo's to scrap I hope I will be in the flow soon again.

Meanwhile the work for the DT of Scrap it with a Song is still going on ofcourse. The song for us Rockchiks this month is 'Never let me go by Florence and the Machines. When I heard the song it was a little bit like I was in trance, or dreaming. I mande an Art Journal of that:

DT Call!

Voor de nieuwe periode zijn we van het Desighnteam van Scrap it with a song op zoek naar nieuwe DTers! Vind je het leuk om eens in de maand een creatie (en dat mag van alles zijn, LO, kaart, Art Journal, Mixed Media, ATC of altered) naar aanleiding van een door een DT member gekozen liedje te maken als voorbeeld te inspiratie? En vind je het leuk om in een gezellig internationaal team te zitten (wat niet betekent dat je foutloos Engels moet schrijven.. Geloof me, je leert een hoop bij! ;) )

Hello creative friends! We are excited to announce that we are looking for new DT members for our next term. If you love to be inspired by songs and want to inspire others with your works, we are looking for you!

What are we looking for? 

• Creative people from all over the world that make pretty paper projects inspired by songs: we love scrapbookers, art journalers, tag-ers, ATC-ers, card makers, altered artists. You make them all? Good! You make only one kind of paper craft? Good! As long as you love to play with paper, glue and all the other pretty stuff and like to tell people about it, you’re good! 
• Previous DT experience is not required!
• We have a Facebook group for the DT, so you need to have a Facebook account to stay in communication with us. 
• You need to know English at a quite good level: we are an Italian based blog with international DT and readers, so you need to write post and comment in English.

Design Team Requirements:

• Commit to a 6 month term: July 1 – Dec 31, 2015
• Complete 1 project a month
• Visit challenge participants blogs and leave comments
• Maintain an active and updated blog
• Post our challenges, events, and your projects on your blog on reveal day and link back to the SIWAS Blog
• Promote SIWAS challenges and events on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
• Display the SIWAS “Design Team Badge” on your blog   
• Actively participate in one blog hop or event during the term 
• Submit your DT reveals no later than five days before scheduled post
• You must be able to take quality pictures and write up a short post about your projects
• During your term you will decide one challenge: we will assign you a month and it will be your duty to choose both pop and rock song for the challenge and send a little prize to the winner

• A link to your blog and your photo will be displayed on the SIWAS blog
• Your creations will be promoted through several online sources.
• You will be a part of a group of fun loving,  supportive, drama free scrappers!

Canvas

Het is alweer een tijdje geleden dat ik iets geplaatst heb, ik ben de afgelopen maand druk geweest met het één en ander te veranderen in mijn huis. Zonder het te weten bleek het moodboard van Scrap around the world wel heel erg bij mijn eigen nieuwe kleurenschema te passen...

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted something here. I've been busy with changing the colors in my living room. I noticed that my new colors are very much like the boodboard of Scrap around the world..

Wat vind ik dit een gaaf bord! Daarom heb ik een nieuwe canvas voor aan de muur gemaakt, met als thema strand.

I really love this board!! That's why I made an new canvas for the livingroom with it, with a beachtheme.

Ik heb er een mixed media canvas van gemaakt, met als basis verf, modeling paste, dylusions, gesso, brusho en inka gold. Verder heb ik een restje van mijn nieuwe tafelkleed verwerkt, en veel natuurlijke materialen als jute, touw en natuurlijk de schelpen. Een paar bloemetjes en dewdrops geven nog wat extra kleur.

I made a mixed-media project, with paint, modeling paste, dylusions, gesso, brusho and inka gold on the base. I also used a peace of my new tablecloth which was leftover, and many natural materials like burlap, twine and ofcourse the seashells. A few flowers and dewdrops give it some extra color.
